Detailed Comparison of Leesa vs Ghostbed Mattress:
Leesa cover: It’s made with a 4-bar design from a poly-lycra blend. Cut from a single sheet of fabric with a clean, crisp construction. Leesa’s cover is the best part of the mattress, it’s beautiful and elegant.
Ghostbed cover: The top area is made from 100% polyester and is super stretchy that even if you pull and tug on it, it immediately returns to its original shape giving you a snug cover each time. For the sides, it combines polyester and polypropylene allows the fabric to be sturdy, ensuring it will stand up to plenty of moving and setup.
Leesa mattress is total 10″ thick made with 3 layers of foam. Top layer is a 2-inch proprietary Avena foam, a type of latex that feels and works like latex foam except it’s a bit more durable. Middle layer is 2-inch memory foam for support and contouring. Bottom layer is 6-inch thick support foam.
Ghostbed mattress is total 11″ thick made with 3 layers of foam. Top layer is 1.5-inch of aerated latex foam, this serves as a comfort and cooling layer with a decent amount of bounce; middle layer is 2-inches of gel memory foam, it conforms to each sleeper’s contour without getting hot because it’s gel, also this layer allows for pressure relief; and bottom layer is 7.5-inches of high-density support foam.
The Leesa mattress provides only medium level of firmness, which is around most people’s comfort level. If you prefer soft or firm, you wouldn’t like it.
The Ghostbed mattress also provides only medium level of firmness, which is around most people’s comfort level. Ghostbed is a bit firmer at first, but then it settles to your body shape and hugs you nicely.
The Leesa is more neutral when it comes to firmness but it does offer a good amount of body support. Lying down on the Leesa
means less of that envelope feeling and more of that buoyant feeling instead. The foam layers create a cooling effect while contouring to your body once you’ve settled in.
Ghostbed provides full body support for different sleeping positions. Foam softens up after you settle and does a great job of maintaining good support and relieving pressure points. Same with Leesa it doesn’t get hot at all.
Motion transfer is minimal for the Leesa. The combination of Avena and memory foam does great wonders for this. I’d say less motion transfer with Leesa compare to the Ghostbed.
Ghostbed has a very minimal motion transfer thanks to the latex and memory foam construction. I’d say more bounciness with Ghostbed makes it a little more motion transfer, which could be an advantage for bounce lovers and couples.
