Why not everyone is talking about this must have tool that will change our lives everyday and forever?! Hold tight.. We’ll talk about the Lineal by Saatva adjustable base, the makers behind the Saatva, Zenhaven, Loom and Leaf mattresses. The question now is, does it really work? Let’s find out how it performs in my Saatva Lineal Adjustable Bed review below:

A Bit of Primer

The Lineal is actually created by online only mattress company, Saatva, which is on the market for around 6 years with good reviews from their customers. You can tell from the get-go that this is made for someone who adores luxury and prioritizes comfort above all else. The bed is electrically powered and various portions like the head, knees and feet can be moved independently so you can find the most comfortable position. Having an adjustable base doesn’t just benefit your sleeping position, it’s also ideal for anyone that likes to read, surf or watch TV while in bed.

How It’s Built

The Lineal adjustable base is created with a study steel foundation, a polyester cover as well as two motors to help manipulate the various mechanisms. The electric motor might be cause of concern for some but it’s guaranteed to be whisper quiet so you hardly notice it’s there. A substantial layer of foam is added all around the sides to ensure you don’t get any sharp edges. What’s more, the cover is made from one whole fabric of polyester; it’s antimicrobial and gives off a seamless look. As you can see it’s very classy and feels very sturdy.

Assembly and Delivery

When you order the Lineal base, it comes with a white glove delivery service meaning the men that deliver it will go ahead and set it up for you. You basically don’t have to do anything other then being there yourself. Of course, there’s the option of adding the head brackets, clips and adjusting the height of the bed (6-10″). You can do this yourself later on or ask the men to have it fitted when they deliver.

Features and Support

Designed with ease of use and an abundance of features, the Lineal can work with any mattress from Saatva made after March 2017, except the 14-15 inch Saatva spring mattress. It’s not designed to work with that one at all. The one I tested and used in my videos is Saatva 11″ spring mattress. It works well, but notice because it’s new, and spring, it doesn’t look perfectly aligned although it feels great.  You can buy Lineal together with the Saatva mattress but you can also use any other mattress designed to be used with an adjustable base. Just check with the mattress company you’re eyeing before anything as sometimes that might void the warranty on the mattress.

If you’ve never slept or played with an adjustable base before, you’ll completely love being on the Lineal. Especially ladies, you will completely fall in love with this base, oh so much. Many things to do on the Lineal, read them here soon. Here are some key features you can expect:

Remote Controlled: Every setting you want to manipulate can be done using a remote. It runs on AAA batteries and comes with preset as well as customizable settings so you can find the best position and actually set it.

Massage Option: The massage option is a great plus to this adjustable base. It comes with different speeds and can be focused on your head, legs or feet. You can also choose the Wave massage, which is like a frequency massager that moves up and down in your body, feels great I can say. It also includes an automatic off system after 15 minutes in case you fall asleep while using it.

Zero-Gravity Support: Offered to help improve blood flow, this position raises your feet and head and gives you a sense of weightlessness. Let’s talk a bit more about this feature because at first I was like what the Z gravity position is??! After trying it, and feeling amazingly comfy, I researched in depth to found those:

• NASA discovered the optimal body position to reduce the gravity force pressure.
• This position gives comfort and relief stress on the body.
• If you have any lower back pain, swollen feet or blood pressure, elevated legs in general would help, but this Z-Gravity position is there with only one button to the remote control.
• And also it should be gentle to your stomach aches and cramps.

“Whisper Quiet” Motors: This ensures you don’t get any annoying buzzing sounds while trying to sleep. When you’re elevating the base, you hear a little bit of engine sound, but it’s very quiet. And if you’re falling a sleep the massage on the first level, which is very ideal and perfect, very quiet. If you’re planning to use it on the 3rd level massage, more stronger and faster, than I’d suggest you use a carpet or silicone base on the legs to prevent the effects in the room.

Built-in Underbed Lighting: You can turn this on when you sleep to ensure you don’t trip and fall in the dark during those bathroom breaks. Simply it looks very classy and stylish in the bedroom, it makes me think, every bed should have those underbed lights.

Different Elevation Options: It’s fully adjustable so you can position it at different elevations for different parts of the body. If you need to lie down on a sleeping position, it goes back to flat at one click of a button.

Split Option for King Size: If you sleep with a partner and have different needs, then you’ll love this option.

Warranty: Lineal warranty is one of the best in the market and makes a big difference. It turns out adjustable base is a luxury item, and other companies don’t cover it fully. They offer limited warranty. Saatva Lineal offers 5 years full coverage, and then 20 years limited warranty. Which is amazing!!!

The Final Verdict

The Lineal Adjustable Base is a fantastic adjustable base if you want that extra comfort. It’s perfect for anyone that already adores a little of luxury in their bedroom, because it’s not just a base. It has many features that’s going to make you happy. It works with Saatva as well as Loom and Leaf and Zenhaven, and definitely other mattresses that are suitable for an adjustable bed. The white glove service might be an extra add-on but it’s perfect for a hassle free setup. In terms of pricing or adjustable beds, this one is pretty good. It’s great for budget seekers and the amount of great features you get as well as the support, build quality and ease of use is a huge plus.

Of course, there are also cons. Those who want to test out an adjustable bed first won’t have a trial option. Once you buy it, you’ll have to keep it, no exchange or return. Also, if you don’t want the additional features, Z-gravity, underbed lights, massage or so, then you may find cheaper options.

Overall, I’d say the Saatva Lineal Adjustable Base makes for a fantastic addition to your bedroom. And more, either Lineal or others, a good quiet adjustable base is a must have. Just make sure it’s what you and your partner want since there’s no return or exchange for this one.
