PangeaBed Mattress Review
PangeaBed may be a mattress company you haven’t heard of but they’re doing something unique with their mattresses. Gathering inspiration from its name, they’re taking unique materials to create one stunning and comfortable bed. Let’s take a look at what this particular brand has to offer and whether they live up to expectations in my Pangeabed mattress review below:
Breaking Down the Layers
The Pangeabed Copper Mattress is composed of four distinct layers:
Cover Layer – Hypoallergenic quilted polyester cover. The Copper cover features a rust/orange/copper shade. Both looks and feels amazing.
Top Layer – 1.5 inches of Copper-Infused 100% Pure Talalay Latex foam. This top layer works best in providing comfort, support, health benefits (thanks to the copper!) and temperature control. Copper also delivers antibacterial properties, helps you sleep cool and is completely hypoallergenic.
Middle Layer – 1.5 inches of PangeaBed Cool Gel Infused memory foam. Memory foam by itself has plenty of positive qualities. This middle layer offers pressure relief while ensuring you get full support while you sleep.
Bottom Layer – 7 inches of high-density support foam. Serving as the base foam, it’s designed to provide full support for the first two layers including heavier sleepers.
All In the Cover
As you can see in the videos, I’m so totally in love with the cover of the PangeaBed mattress. The PangeaBed top cover is made of high-quality polyester. It includes a built-in 5/8 – inch soft foam quilted top, which is similar to that of a built-in pillow. The material for the cover is hypoallergenic and designed to enhance and complement the comfort the Talalay foam offers.
Run your hand across the quilted cover and you’ll feel the lovely texture as well as the padded comfort. As for aesthetics, it features a beautiful textured quilted pattern with a subtle rust colored geometric accent.
How Does it Perform
Even though I thought this whole copper infused mattress thing was too gimmicky, I’ve become a convert since I tried the Layla Mattress. I figured that the PangeaBed, with its Talalay latex, would do as good – even better – and it didn’t disappoint. The copper-infused Talalay latex lets you sleep cool while offering enough support whether you’re a side, back or stomach sleeper. It features a medium firmness, making it suitable for most people. The quilted cover layer is comfortable and hypoallergenic making it perfect for sensitive folks.
For heavier sleepers, the transitional layer, which is the gel infused memory foam, offers fantastic support. So really, you get covered even if you tend to sink a bit deeper into the bed. The gel infusion also ensures you sleep cool each time. It’s a complete win-win.
I will say, however, that if you like a super soft mattress, you won’t like the PangeaBed since they only have a medium firmness option. I also won’t recommend it for very firm mattress lovers. You’re better off with a spring/coil mattress if you are.
PangeaBed Mattress Review: The Final Verdict
The PangeaBed may be the latest kid on the block but they are definitely bringing their A-game. If you’re looking for a mattress that’s comfortable, stylish and provides excellent support, go for the PangeaBed Copper. It not only offers all of the things mentioned above, it also delivers antibacterial properties, lets you sleep cool and is completely hypoallergenic. I’d say give the PangeaBed a shot.
