Propel Sleep Mattress Review – Active Recovery With Every Sleep?
It goes without saying that our lifestyle choices have an enormous impact on our health. The same goes for our sleeping habits. How we sleep every night affects how we function on a daily basis – yes, just like eating, which is as important!
Today, I’d like to discuss and review a mattress that is specially designed to help you recover after a workout or any physical activity – the Propel Sleep Mattress by Brooklyn Bedding. Propel Sleep affirms performance-enhancing features, allowing sleepers to regain energy during sleep. This sounds far-fetched, but I can’t make this assumption without even giving it a try, right? Is the Propel mattress designed with active people in mind? Check out my full Propel Sleep mattress review below!
Breaking Down The Layers
The Brooklyn Bedding Propel Sleep Mattress is 12.5 inches tall and contains real quality, patented materials. Let’s see if each layer adds up to Propel Sleep being the ideal mattress for you:
The 1.5-inch top layer of the Propel Sleep mattress is made up of CopperFlex™ foam, a patented latex alternative foam infused with CopperGel™, highlighting its instant response technology in relieving pressure for sleepers and regulating temperature.
Beneath the CopperFlex™ Foam is another patented material called the Energex™ Foam. This 2-inches hyper-elastic foam has a similar response with a latex material, but it designed to be stronger and more resilient.
Swirl Gel Memory Foam
The third layer of the Propel Sleep mattress is made of 1 inch swirl gel memory foam. As its name suggests, this foam is infused with gels that aim to disperse hot temperatures from your body. This type of material also helps with pressure relief and body contouring.
Underneath the 3 foam layers is where the 6 inches of Acension™ Coils are set in place. This layer provides the bounce and support that you need.
Finally, the bottom-most layer is 1 inch of high-density foam that provides enough support to the coils, making it an excellent foundation for the whole mattress.
All In The Cover – Propel Mattress Review
The cover of the Propel Sleep uses some of Brooklyn Bedding’s expensive premium fabric with amazing properties plus, it’s soft, breathable and looks very unique and beautiful. Don’t forget to add it’s very durable.
Covering the foam and coil layers is a sheet that is made of a superior European performance material. The cover of the Propel Sleep mattress also uses Upcycle™ integration, utilizing encapsulated materials, which intends to convert body heat to far-infrared energy. This helps supply oxygen in the blood, which is helpful to restore your energy and aid in relaxation.
Aside from Upcycle™, Propel Sleep’s cover also uses TitanCool™ weave which is responsible for regulating temperature, allowing sleepers to have a cozy, good night’s sleep.
How Does It Perform – Propel Sleep Mattress Review
Although sleeping can be a breeze especially after a very long day, having quality sleep is not as easy as for many of us. Furthermore sleeping every night doesn’t always necessarily mean that your body is recovering. While there are many ways to improve your sleep during the night, I will discuss today how your choice of mattress can help your body recuperate to give you the energy and vitality that you need for the day. And with today’s amazing technology, feeling refreshed and reenergized the next day is just a sleep away.
Okay, honestly, I don’t know what exactly makes the Propel that special, (well maybe it’s specs?!) but every night I slept with it, it made me feel refreshed and recovered the next day. I’m not an athlete, but I would proudly call my self an active person; from the moment I lay on the Propel mattress till I woke up, it gave me cloud-like comfort, contouring, and support. The significant feature that I particularly noticed in Propel Sleep is how it does not sleep hot. Well, thanks to the TitanCool™ tech used in this mattress. I felt that it regulates heat and keeps my body cool even despite the hot weather/room. The mattress is also obviously made of high-quality materials, making the mattress very durable and supportive, bouncy, and breathable.
The Final Verdict – Propel Sleep Mattress Review
Although Brooklyn Bedding’s Propel Sleep mattress only offers one firmness option, I think that with its structure, it is still applicable to any type of sleeper, back, side and stomach. I can say that the overall performance is excellent. I enjoyed sleeping on it and I thought it helped improve my sleep quality. I recommend it to everyone who is looking for a mattress with an ideal balance of support and comfort. Note that I do not recommend it to individuals with 250 LBS or more weight. Also, note that this mattress is a gem for side sleepers or mix positional sleepers.
