Top Cover

Loom and Leaf: Crafted from 100% cotton with all natural thistle serving as fire retardant. It’s made to be breathable and soft. It features a quilted mini foam layer adding softness and comfort when you sleep. Visually, it looks luxurious with a gold trim and an improved cover offering better support for the lumbar and midsection when you sleep.

Tempurpedic: Proprietary blend on the cover, composed of polyester and spandex, which creates a soft and comfortable feel. Top cover helps regulate body temperature and features a two-tone color scheme. Top white cover is removable and can be washed.

Foam Layers

Loom and Leaf features 4 foam layers that total to 12 inches thick. Top layer is 2inch thick gel foam for cooling; second layer is 2.5-inch visco elastic memory foam; third layer is 2 inch transition loft pad and final layer is 5.5 inches of support foam.

Composed of 4 layers with a total of 11.5-inches thickness. First layer is 2-inches of visco elastic memory foam; second layer is 2-inches of slightly firmer visco-elastic memory foam; third layer is 4-inches of polyurethane foam and bottom layer is 3.5-inches of support foam.

Firmness

The Loom and Leaf firmness: The company offers two firmness levels, with the L&L Relaxed Firm giving a soft to medium firmness. Meanwhile, L&L Firm is built for those who prefer medium to firm mattresses.

While this is subjective, the Tempurpedic Cloud Supreme Breeze offers soft to medium firmness level.

Body Support

Loom and Leaf body support: There’s minimal sinkage and good body contouring. Lets you sleep comfortably without making you feel stuffed in or wrapped.

Heavier sleepers will see a more pronounced sinkage and hug. This can result in heat retention and sinking feeling. Support for light sleepers however, is pretty good.

Motion Transfer

Thanks to the high-density memory foam, there’s minimal motion transfer with this mattress. Making it ideal if you sleep with a partner.
Minimal motion transfer within the mattress, you’ll hardly notice any movement even when sleeping with a partner.

The Final Verdict

Choosing between the Loom and Leaf and Tempurpedic will depend on your preference – both very similar memory foam feeling with some differences. If money is no object, the Tempurpedic mattress is a great option since it offers great body support, high-quality materials, and excellent comfort. It is restrictive when it comes to the trial period, coolness, responsiveness and no refunds are allowed so make sure it’s the one you want.

If you sleep hot you’d not want to get the Loom and Leaf for sure, as it sleeps cooler. Also if you like the contouring traditional memory foam feeling, go for the Tempurpedic (though you may get a bit sinking in, and harder to move around and hot).

Meanwhile, the Loom and Leaf offer a good firmness level option and great body support for most of the sleepers. It’s considerably cheaper,  organic cover and more lenient with their trial period and refunds. If you want a mattress that’s high quality without breaking your bank, the Loom and Leaf is the right fit for you.
